Calming down..

We can't deny that our daily lives can get pretty overwhelming and going to bed at night can get frustrating because your mind is filled with so many thoughts, but all you want to do is calm down. I decided to take a look at some calming cosmetics that can help relax your tired face at night and prepare it for a crazy day ahead. A lot of these products have infused oils to increase the calming reaction. Whether the product removes or applys make-up, or just sooths your skin, you'll be sure to feel a calming sensation.

Sock Bun secrets!

Okay, I know this probably sounds weird but there is this curling trick that I discovered. Usually, I cannot curl my hair because after about 30 minutes to an hour it has already fallen flat. So, I was searching for other methods on how to keep curls and I found the sock bun curl secret. All you do it take your dry hair and put it into a high pony tail onto the top of your head. You then need to dampen your hair will a spray bottle of water, but do not soak it or it will not dry all the way through. Then, you take a sock that has the toes part cut off and roll it into a donut shape.... you take the donut and start at the top of the pony tail and roll it down to your scalp, this will make your hair look like a ballerina bun. You sleep in the sock bun over night. When you wake up you unroll the sock bun the opposite way you put it on and bam! beautiful sock bun curls, that apparently last throughout the day. I will try this asap!!! Let me know if you try it and how it turns out! Good luck!

Gorgeous Eyes...

I've always loved gorgeous eyes and eyebrows. Eye make-up is something that I feel as if I cannot live without. I absolutely love the look of shimmery eye shadow or a faded smokey eye. Everytime that I stumble upon a great look I save it. So, I've collected quite a bit of a collection and I'd like to share it with you. The looks range from a simple look to a drastic look.

        <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

**(Nice clean simple style -- eyeliner on top lid with light mascara)**

**(Great fall colors -- turquoise & bronze brown)**

**(Big lashes with a pop of yellow -- another great drastic fall look)**

**(This is an absolutely stunning night-out look! Purple/blue smokey eye)**

** These looks also consist of filling in the eyebrows **

Nail designs...

It's time for me to get my nails done again, so maybe instead of just getting a plain color I should get a desgin. What I've seem to notice on "Pinterest" is the swirly nails which is pretty cool. You take water and pour in some nail polish colors to create a swirl... then dip your fingers into the swirled nailpolish and BAM ... swirly nails. Also, there are a few nail blogs that have great ideas and tips.... For Your Nails Only, Painted Lady Fingers, Hey, Nice Nails!, Burgers and Nails, and 365 Days of Nail Art.

While I was searching around I found some Halloween designs.
I wouldn't personally get any of these designs but they're pretty cool.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for your hair?!

So the other day... my girlfriends and I were discussing what shampoos and conditioners work the best for our hair. Of course, we all had different products that worked best for our hair because we all have different hair types. I cannot use Herbal Essence because it makes my hair feel sticky while my roommate uses it everyday because it works the best for her. Although, I have thick straight hair and she has wavy almost thin hair, obviously not the same stuff will work for both of us. I looked through some websites and found what they said were the best for different hair types.

Men's Hairstyle Trends 2011-2012

Recently, a couple of my guys friends changed up their hairstyles for the fall. Most of them cut it shorter on the sides and longer on top, and actually it's one of the fall trends for men's hairstyles this fall/winter. I know that guys usually like to keep their hair short or are afraid to try new things but the styles for this time of year are actually really nice. The trends are shorter on the sides and longer up top, partially slicked back, and a bit of volume. Looks sexy. Basically, I told my guys friends that their hair looks great!

It's October again, and that means it's Breast Cancer Awarenss Month. I have two friends who's mother's have passed away from Breast Cancer and it's the most common cancer in women. With that in mind, I would like to support women and their families who are fighting. A special way that we can help support Breast Cancer survivors and fighters is by buying "great give-back beauty products that come out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month."  There are cute little pink products that give to breast cancer charities.
